Alfred 'Tot' Knapp

Born in Autumn1878 Alf was one of 11 children born to Thomas and Harriett Knapp. The 1901 census lists him as a hosiery hand and living with his parents in Weir Road. He married Carrie Sturges

A report on his parents Diamond Wedding anniversary in 1914 describes him as "one of the mainstays of the Kibworth first eleven, only as recently as last season carrying off the bowling honours." and he was still able to take six wickets at the age of 43 in 1922.
'Tot' was clearly a good allrounder who in 1905 scored 422 runs and took 62 wickets. He was still corresponding with the club secretary in 1965.

Another Knapp almost certainly a relative (and possibly his father) played for the club in 1860.
