Cecil "CIS" BERRY

     


  "Cis" Berry was a legend for KCC between the wars. He began his career in 1914 and played regularly till the club ceased its activities the following year. Cis returned as stalwart when the club resumed in 1919 and would continue as a first team regular till his retirement in 1952. He scored 22 centuries for the club and four times passed a thousand runs for the season. Cis was a fast bowler in his youth and later took many wickets as a medium pacer who could move the ball either way and once took 89 wickets in a season.. He was also a good slip fielder

His son Cecil played regularly for Great Glen.
