The Leicester Chronicle            10 June  The Cricket Club. - Through the enterprising landlord of the C&H, Mr. C. E. Bolton, Gardiner's celebrated troupe of Clown Cricketers paid a visit paid a visit to Kibworth on Tuesday.

 

Leicester Mercury          17 June  Saturday 17 June. The KCC v Leicester Wanderers. A Cricket match was played at Kibworth on  Monday week, between the clubs, when the scores were Leicester:- Wanderers 1st innings, 24, 2nd innings, 38, Kibworth, 1st innings, 48, 2nd innings, 66.

  Yesterday (Friday,) when a parish cricket match was played by two local teams, whose skill of the national pastime had, it is alleged not previously by any means rendered them famous. There were six players on each side, and the match, which had been regarded by many as a myth, took place on the cricket ground of the Kibworth Club. The game caused considerably astonishment to a large number  of on-lookers. there was a great display in the “strength” of the respective teams, that the 1st innings of the one team was to be a tie with the 2 innings of the other.

Leicester Mercury           29 Sep    Sunday evening the members of the Tradesmen Cricket Club had their Annual Dinner at the C & H, the toast “Long life and success to the Kibworth Cricket Club”. They had a successful season, thanked the hardworking secretary in the person of Mr. Jos Bolton. The Chairman proposed the health of the Treasurer, Mr. Garratt.
