Leicester Journal    1 Mar    KIBWORTH. Cricket Club. —The annual meeting of the members of this Club, which is now more popular than for years past, was held the Tillage Hall, on Thursday evening last, February 21st, when there was a good attendance. Mr. F. Underwood was the chairman. The Smeeton Club has amalgamated with the Kibworth Club, so the latter will become larger and stronger, there being some good players in tbe former Club. Mr. Joseph Bolton was elected secretary, and Mr. J. G. Garratt treasurer. It was also resolved that Mr. C. E. Bolton, of the Coach and Horses Inn, supply the refreshments on the cricket ground their matches. was also agreed that athletic sports be held on Whit-Tuesday, and Mr. Douglass, of Smeeton, was appointed the captain of the sports.

Leicester Chronicle           5 Oct      KCC play their last match of the season against Houghton at Kibworth on Monday. Score: K 77, 44; H 25, 24 for 3 before bad light stopped play.

Leicester Mercury          5 Dec      KCC say it was not a very good year either on the field or financially, expenses were equal to receipts. They had played 12 matches, and won 6 and lost 5, but they had suffered from the loss of the Captain, Mr. F. Underwood, for half of the season. Among those mentioned:- Mr. Loveday was called to the chair, Mr. J. G. Garrett, acted as vice chairman. A. Bolton sang in good style and proposed the toast:- “Prosperity to the Cricket Club”. Mr. Geo. Grant achieved the highest average for the season, Mr. T. Branston came second. The Secretary was M. Bolton, and J. Badcock, the umpire.
