KIBWORTH CRICKET CLUB - 1880 Season

Northampton Mercury    7 Feb    Soiree |— Tho members of the Cricket Club held their annual soiree, on Monday night last, at the Village Hall. This is one of the largest gatherings of the year, as a rule, and it proved so on Monday night. There was a tea, at which 68 sat down; then there was an entertainment for about half an hour, at which a number of songs were given, Mr. F. Underwood, the captain of the club, presiding. After this there was a ball, when the number at tea was more than doubled, dancing being kept up briskly until late on Tuesday morning. The refreshments were supplied by Mr. Bolton, of the Coach and Horses, he having supplied them at the cricket matches during the season.
