Club.- A number of ladies and gentlemen
of the village have undertaken to give a dramatic entertainment in the
Village Hall on Thursday and Friday evenings, in aid of the above. The performers having
acquired a good stage reputation , and the cricket club needing pecuniary
support, the
entertainment will, it is to be hoped, receive all the patronage it deserves.

at the Rose & Crown on Friday evening, reported in the paper on
Northampton Mercury 4 Nov Histrionic Entertainment.—The Amateur Dramatic Society gave
entertainment on the evenings of the 26th and 27th October, at the Village
Hall. The proceeds were given to the Cricket Club, and a good sum was realised,
as every seat was occupied on the final night, and many could not gain
admittance. The pieces selected were the comic drama, "Good for
Nothing," and the farce, Boots at the Swan." Both pieces were well
acted, and the performers were frequently applauded.
