Northampton Mercury    3 Nov    The Amateur Dramatic society give entertainment the Village Hall, on Oct. 25th, under the patronage of Colonel Arthur, Colonel Chaplin, Captain Whitmore, A. M. Cochrane, Esq., and others. The performances were given for the benefit of the cricket club, who, having to go to new quarters, had to incur the expense of levelling piece of ground to play on. The first piece was a drama, entitled Miriam's Crime, which was cleverly put upon the stage. The second piece was Borrowed Ptumes, which caused much amusement. The performance was repeated again on the following night, when the hall was crowded.
