A dismall Lutterworth top order batting display and a solid 104* by
Bitteswell "Legend" Andrew Smith meant that the 1sts suffered another League
loss on Saturday.
Lutterworth batted first and their top 4 batsman promptly gave their
wickets in a wild array of fashions to put them immediately on the
back foot at 58-4. Craig Wilson was the only Batsman to offer any real
resistance with 41 to a good, but not spectacular, bowling display
by Kibworth CC. Aamir Mahmood, a Lutterworth player only a couple of
seasons ago, showned no loyalty whatsoever in taking 5 wickets as Lutts
fell for 181, a reasonable score in the end thanks to a last minute,
and long awaited, burst by Hitesh Majurdar (39).
Kibworth cantered home in the end losing only 3 wickets, though there was a
ray of hope when lutts had their oppenents 2 down with the score under 10 after
getting rid of John Hanger for next to nothing and another hilarious Mike
Sutliffe goldie!!
A solid innings by Andrew smith saw Kibworth home, Lutts only picking up 6 points......to go with the -5 from last week!!!
