Match Report from Harborough Mail

In the 1st XI derby clash at Harborough's Fairfield Roadground, the home side put in probably their worst performance for years. Batting first, Harborough opener Paul Donald (37) was the main contributor to the innings and the first wicket stand of 45. Only skipper Laurie Potter, with 10 not out, reached double figures as the home side were all out for a paltry 87.
Simon Renshaw with 4 for 27 and Gary Parkin with 3 for 29 did most of the damage for Kibworth. There were two brilliant catches during this collapse but most of the dismissals were down to poor shot selection.
The Kibworth openers, Suni Patel (32 no), and John Hanger (45 no) showed the home batsmen how it should be done, reaching 91 without loss to record an easier victory than expected.
