Match Report


On Sunday, Bowden CC entertained near neighbours, Kibworth in a 40 over a side friendly match. Kibworth won the toss and put Bowden in to bat with openers, Jack Ferguson (35) & Tony Buckle (38) giving Bowden a solid start. Simon Almey (20) & Guy
Other (45 no) continued the good work & Bowden set Kibworth a challenging total of 186 for 6. Pick of the Kibworth bowlers were Jameson (2-38) & T.Bale (2-23).
In reply, Kibworths batsmen lost their openers cheaply but a swashbuckling 88 no from Tom Bale and 40 plus extras conceded by Bowden bowlers saw Kibworth win the match with 9 overs to spare with the loss of only 2 wickets. The
Bowden wicket takers were Upul Soysa (1-22) & Astley Sharples (1-39).
