EARL SHILTON were one wicket away from stretching their winning-run in Everards County League Division One to five games as Kibworth’s lower order held out for the draw.
After losing the toss on a green wicket and with the new ball seaming around early doors it looked as though the toss would be crucial.
Giles Holmes was dismissed by an excellent piece of work down the leg side by Steve Thompson who quickly removed the bails.
This however bought overseas Harpreet Singh Suni to the crease who, after overcoming some initial nerves, looked in tremendous form, putting on 57 runs for the second wicket with James Lester, the latter falling to a sharp catch at point for a well-made 45.
