Just before Loughborough Outwoods 2 XI Captain Nigel Moore walk to middle for toss, he turned to his team and asked “what should I call”. Unfortunately the advice he received wasn't good. As again Outwoods found themselves batting in bowling friendly conditions.
With a number of regular players unavailable and a few playing their first game for a season! Outwoods struggled to a total of 129 all out.
After opening bowler Daniel Mosley (49-3) claimed the wicket of Kibworth opener Dan Pedley (1) in the first over and the top 5 batsmen were dismissed without reaching double figures, could Outwoods pull another victory from the jaws of defeat? However it was not to be, confident running between wickets by Rob Elwood (13) & Chris Carson (27) and some lusty blows from Duncan Jones (43) combined with a number of dropped catches, Lead Kibworth 4th XI to 130 for 7.
